Hazrat Abu Abdullah Ja’far ibn Muhammad ibn Ali ibn Husayn ibn Ali ibn Abi Talib May Allah be pleased with them all.

Lineage

He was a direct descendant of the Holy Prophet ﷺ through Sayyidah Fatimah al-Zahra May Allah be pleased with her. He was the great-grandson of Sayyiduna Imam Husayn May Allah be pleased with him. He was the son of Sayyiduna Imam Muhammad al-Baqir May Allah be pleased with him.

Early Education

He was raised in the blessed environment of Madinah Munawwarah. He acquired knowledge from his father Imam Muhammad al-Baqir May Allah be pleased with him and other eminent scholars. He excelled in knowledge, piety, wisdom and spirituality from an early age.

Islamic Education

He studied and mastered Tafseer, Hadith, Fiqh, Aqeedah, Arabic Literature, Tasawwuf, Ethics and Spirituality.

Among his prominent teachers were Sayyiduna Imam Muhammad al-Baqir May Allah be pleased with him, Urwah ibn Zubayr May Allah have mercy on him, Ata ibn Abi Rabah May Allah have mercy on him, Nafi’ Mawla Ibn Umar May Allah have mercy on him and numerous leading scholars of Madinah.
