الاستفتاء
~Dum must be in Haram~
Can we give Dum in our homeland or it has to be done here in Arab ? What is Shariah ruling on it ?

الجواب
Dum must be offered in Haram. Either he does it himself and or he makes someone as his Wakeel and on his behalf animal is slaughtered but in both conditions it must be in vicinity of Haram.

ولا یجوز ذبح الھدایا الا فی الحرم
"Slaughtering of animals (for Hajj) is not allowed except in Haram"

▪️Allama Rahmatullah Sindhi & Mulla Ali Qari have clarified:
واما شرائط جواز الدماء۔۔۔۔۔ذبحہ فی الحرم بالاتفاق
''One of Conditions for acceptance of Dum....that it must be done in Haram.This has been agreed by jurists unanimously"
