Can I perform Qurbani on credit or loan

Wa Alaikum us Salam

Yes, Qurbani if performed by taking Loan will be Valid.

But this should be taken care that repayment of loan in itself is a big liability. Beloved Prophet صلی الله عليه وسلم refused to offer funeral of a person who died in his debts..

So therefore those on whom Qurbani has become obligatory must offer it..but Taking loan should only be done once he is affirmed of returning it soon.

Further if he /she does not have hard cash.. The wealth is only in form of gold / jewellery.. Then this will not be termed as Excuse. Either sell off the particular amount of gold or take loan.
