Umm-ul-Mu’mineen Sayyidah Aisha al-Siddiqa May Allah be pleased with her, daughter of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr As-Siddiq May Allah be pleased with him, was one of the most beloved wives of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Known for her extraordinary intelligence, sharp memory and deep understanding of Deen, she became one of the greatest scholars among the Sahabah and a leading jurist of the early Ummah. Her legacy as a scholar, narrator and teacher continues to benefit the Ummah to this day. She was born in the blessed city of Makkah into the noble Banu Taym clan of Quraysh and was closely connected to the earliest and most distinguished Companions from an early age. She is one of the greatest women in Islamic history and among the Ummuhat-ul-Mu’minin meaning Mothers of the Believers. She is recognized as a leading scholar and jurist of the early Ummah.

She is recognized as one of the foremost jurists known as Faqihah of the Ummah and narrated over 2,000 Hadiths, making her a major authority in Islamic rulings, especially in family law and worship.

Famous Hadith Virtues

The Prophet ﷺ said: The virtue of Aisha over other women is like the virtue of tharid over all food. The Prophet ﷺ used to say: O Allah, this is my division in what I possess, so do not blame me for what You possess and I do not.
